VADO will be focusing on water saving solutions at this year’s Greenbuild Expo. Visitors can see a working display of the new VADO HydroCyc grey water system; which recycles bath, shower and basin water so it can be safely used for flushing WC’s. In fact, the system filters and treats grey water beyond the standards required for the forthcoming BSI British Standard for grey water systems, BS8525, ensuring recycled water remains safe to use at all times.
VADO’s stand will also feature a working display of H2Eco water regulated taps and showers, where visitors can witness first hand the minimal effect H2Eco regulation has on the performance of the tap or shower in question. Water saving can be very significant; with H2Eco fitted, the Marriott Royal Hotel in Bristol saved 14,870,000 litres of water in a year representing an estimated saving of £38,000 on their utility bill.
By combining the VADO HydroCyc with H2Eco regulated taps and showers it’s possible to exceed the demanding legislative requirements for Level 6 of the Code for Sustainable homes; which stipulates a maximum water usage of 80 litres per person per day. Greenbuild Expo is on Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th May at Manchester Central (formerly GMEX). VADO’s stand is G18. Dean Pamphilon, VADO’s National Specifications Sales Manager, will be giving a presentation on Grey Water recycling at 10:00 on Thursday 27th May in the workshop room.
